Bought this to fish my local canal as my fly fishing is costing me small fortune!! Read other reviews about reel falling apart and mine did the same, thought handle was collapsible when taken out of packaging but it isn't you just need to tighten small black screw on side of reel and it works perfectly now. The rod is easy to set up and a really nice size when collapsed, has a nice feel when playing fish even the tiddlers I've pulled out of the canal. In all for 13 pounds this is an excellent kit for children and big kids like myself alike🙂😃

I bought for holiday. Micro size is needed. The day after delivery, I checked and managed to catch some mackerels and black seabreams. A weak reel requires lubrication before use. The rod is delicate, light and easy to fold. I use it for spining in the sea, in the harbour. I having a little experience allready, I caught three mackerels straight away. The line is strong enough for this equipment. If you want catch a bigger fish you need fishing road for £150 and 50lbs line.

as long as you don't mind the likely breakage of the rod withing the first few days or weeks, the poor reel and very weak line I would say it's not a half bad product, maybe the quality is a little poor but for the price complaining would be silly, did some mackerel fishing on the coast with this, wasn't bad, line broke a few times and the rod is now stuck slightly extended due to opening withing the segments getting clogged, tried some WD40 with didn't help but oh well, was okay while it lasted, as a temporary travel rod it is okay but I'd get a slightly better reel or at least swap out the line
